Ruling New Democracy (ND) party appears on an upward course in the latest opinion poll unveiled by the Alco firm on Tuesday, compared with the previous month.
Specifically, the center-right party garners 25% of voters’ preferences (of valid responses), with its nearest rival behind by 14.3% percentage points.
The specific poll, however, does not include an extrapolation of the vote, as other surveys often do.
Just as interesting is the fact that incumbent Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis appears as gaining five percentage points from last month on the question of most qualified to be premier, in a similar poll conducted by the same firm.
Socialist/social democrat PASOK is again placed in second place with 14%, easily beating out the Plefsi Eleftherias (Course of Freedom) party, which fell to 6%.
The poll also revealed the continuing collapse of leftist SYRIZA party, which falls to sixth place, behind the right-wing Elliniki Lysi (Greek Solution) and Communist Party (KKE).
