Greece’s Public Employment Service (DYPA) opened applications today, Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 18:00, for the Special Seasonal Allowance for 2025. Applications at Citizen Service Centers (KEP) will start later, on Tuesday, September 23.
The allowance ranges from €687.75 to €1,375.50, depending on eligibility and profession. Last year, 82,800 recipients received the aid.
Who Is Eligible?
Eligible applicants are workers insured under e-EFKA who practice one of the following seasonal professions:
- Construction, quarrying, lime and brick production, ceramics, pottery, forestry work, resin collection, tobacco processing.
- Arts and entertainment: musicians, actors, dancers, cinema and theatre technicians, ticket collectors.
- Tourism and hospitality workers, including those employed via temporary employment agencies.
- Operators of construction, excavation, lifting, road-building, or drilling machinery.
Applicants cannot receive both the Special Seasonal Allowance and regular unemployment benefits simultaneously, except for construction workers. Those meeting the requirements for regular unemployment support between September 10 and November 30, 2025, are not eligible.
How to Apply
Applications are submitted online via the DYPA platform.

Applications close on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at 14:00, and there is no requirement to visit DYPA offices in person. All decisions will be communicated electronically.
