A 14.7% increase in museum visitors alone in 2024 compared to 2023 was announced by the country’s statistics authority EL.STAT this past week, with revenue up a noteworthy 22.3%

Overall, for both museums and archaeological sites in the country, the increase was 4.5% for visitors and 4.7% in revenue.

The top Greek museums in terms of visitors remained the Acropolis Museum, the National Archaeological Museum in Athens, the White Tower in Thessaloniki, the Delphi Museum and the Archaeological Museum of Irakleio (Herakleio), on Crete.
