Mitsotakis – Erdogan Meeting in New York Postponed

The two leaders are expected to reschedule their talks in New York in the coming days, after President Erdogan cancelled Tuesday’s meeting to attend a gathering hosted by the US President outlining his vision of Gaza

The meeting between Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, scheduled for Tuesday at 14.00 local time (21.00 GR time) has been postponed after a request from the Turkish side.

According to news reports President Erdogan will be participating instead in a meeting organised by the US President on the situation in Gaza along with the leaders of  Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Egypt, Jordan,  Indonesia and Pakistan. It has been reported by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt that Donald Trump intends to present his plan on ending the Israeli war in Gaza and his vision for the region.

A new meeting time is being arranged in the coming days in New York, according to the schedules of both leaders.
