The United States is turning a new page in its energy partnership with Greece, as highlighted by the recent participation of the new U.S. Ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Guilfoyle, at the P-TEC (Partnership for Transatlantic Energy Cooperation) Conference in Athens, on Nov. 6-7.
Sharing a rich collection of images from the event on social media, Ambassador Guilfoyle described the gathering as an important step toward deeper collaboration between the two nations.
“A privilege to participate in the P-TEC Conference in Athens with Secretary Chris Wright, Secretary Doug Burgum, and Deputy Secretary of State Michael Rigas. Our discussions focused on strengthening energy collaboration and promoting lasting prosperity between our nations. Honored to represent the United States under the leadership of President Donald J. Trump,” she wrote.
Echoing this optimism, U.S. Secretary Doug Burgum took to X (formerly Twitter) to celebrate a long-term agreement between ATLANTIC – SEE LNG TRADE, including the Greek AKTOR Group and DEPA Commerce, and the U.S. energy company Venture Global Inc. The deal involves the supply of significant quantities of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United States to Greece.
“Closing deals and strengthening transatlantic ties in Greece,” Burgum wrote. “Between the expansion of gas supply routes along the Vertical Corridor from south to north and Venture_Global’s new long-term LNG sales, under POTUS, we are boosting Europe’s energy independence like never before!”
The developments mark a major milestone in U.S.-Greek relations, emphasizing shared goals of energy security, economic growth, and transatlantic cooperation.
