Pulse Poll: ND Gains 2% Points, Reaches 31.5%

A large majority of 72% of respondents approve of the Greek government's dispatch of military units to defend Cyprus

Ruling New Democracy (ND) party is shown as gaining 1.5 percentage points in respondents’ preferences in the latest Pulse firm poll presented on Wednesday evening.

Moreover, in a fillip for the center-right government, the poll shows widespread approval of its actions regarding actions to protect Cyprus from missile and drone attacks with the dispatch of two warships and four F-16 fighter jets, an initiative that was closely followed by the dispatch of units by other several European countries.

The ruling party polled 31.5% in voter intent as based on an extrapolation of the results, up from 29.5% in January 2026. ND increased its lead over main opposition PASOK from 16.5 to 18 percentage points.

The main opposition party also records a small gain of half a point and appears to be consolidating second place, maintaining a four-percentage point lead over the Plefsi Eleftherias (Course of Freedom) party, which remained at 9.5%.

The figure for abstention, undecided voters, blank or invalid ballots records a marginal drop of half a point but remains at a high level of 18%.

Heightened support for actions regarding Cyprus

Public concern over developments in the Middle East reached 79%. Respondents said they are primarily worried about the economy (39%), but also about the possibility of military involvement (23%), while 12% express concern about a potential humanitarian crisis and an increase in refugee flows.
