Eleni Iakovaki made history at the U18 European Championships in Rieti, Italy, winning the gold medal in the 400 meters.
The Greek champion delivered an impressive race, finishing in a time of 52.38 seconds, not only claiming the top spot on the podium but also breaking her own national record in both the U20 and U18 categories.
It was the clearest possible confirmation of the outstanding form she’s currently in, leaving her mark on the European stage and adding yet another major success to Greek track and field.
