The body of a 15-year-old girl from Lausanne was identified as belonging to Alice Kallergi, who went missing when a bar was destroyed by fire in the alpine resort of Crans-Montana, bringing a tragic end to days of uncertainty for her family.

The death of Alice Kallergi was confirmed on Sunday evening by her father, Antonis Kallergis, in a social media post. He shared an illustration of an angel ascending toward the sky, accompanied by his daughter’s name.

The teenager, who lived permanently in Lausanne, had traveled to Crans-Montana with three friends to celebrate the New Year at the Le Constellation bar, which was later engulfed by flames. Her 19-year-old brother, Romain, was also in the resort but at a different venue at the time of the fire.

According to family accounts, Romain rushed to the scene after learning of the blaze and attempted to enter the building but was prevented by emergency services due to the intensity of the fire. He repeatedly tried to contact his sister by phone, without success.

In the days following the incident, Romain made frequent appeals on social media, expressing hope that his sister might have escaped before the fire spread. That hope was extinguished when authorities confirmed the identification of her remains.

Swiss police have not yet released further details on the cause of the fire, and an investigation remains ongoing.
