Greece To Unveil 28 Candidate Songs for Eurovision 2026

Greece’s national broadcaster will air a special show presenting excerpts from all shortlisted entries, marking the start of the selection process ahead of the country’s final choice for Eurovision 2026 in Vienna

The countdown has begun for Greece’s selection of its entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, as the country prepares to reveal the songs competing to represent it on the international stage.

Greece’s public broadcaster, ERT, announced that it will air a special one-off television program on January 4, during which excerpts from the 28 shortlisted songs will be presented to the public for the first time. These tracks are competing to become Greece’s official entry in Eurovision 2026.

The broadcast, titled “Sing for Greece – Greek Final 2026 – The Finalists”, will officially launch the national selection process. Following the presentation, the competition will move forward with two semifinal rounds, leading up to the final decision on which song will represent Greece.

Eurovision 2026 will take place in Vienna and comes at a time of heightened discussion around the contest, following the withdrawal of some countries in response to Israel’s participation.
