Abbas: “We Would Like the Trump Plan to Be Implemented Faster”

On his part, Mahmoud Abbas thanked Greece and expressed gratitude for the country’s “support for the rights of the Palestinian people as well as the commitment to achieve peace.”

“We would like to accelerate the implementation of the Trump plan within the framework of UN resolutions through a long-term sustainable ceasefire, which would include medical and pharmaceutical coverage. We also want the immediate withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces, and we want the reconstruction of the area to be expedited,” Abbas continued. He emphasized the importance of pressuring Israel “to stop its own policies and the undermining of the two-state solution.”
