The Athens-based ANTENNA Group has announced a strategic partnership with the Atlantic Council, following an initiative by the former’s chairman, Theodore Kyriakou, on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly.

The ANTENNA Group-Atlantic Council partnership to organize an annual summit, aimed at helping change the geopolitical and investment landscape in relations between Europe and the Gulf States, was announced in New York City by the ANTENNA Group, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

“This Summit, as we had announced, will be held every year in Greece, at the level of heads of state and world leaders. Today in New York, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, we held our first meeting with several leaders from around the world and major investors with the Atlantic Council, where we discussed details and exchanged ideas, so that next year’s summit in Greece will be a resounding success. We are very proud to be able to contribute to bridging such relationships at a time of rapid change at the geopolitical level,” the chairman of the ANTENNA Group said, while adding that the first official AEGGIS Summit will take place in Greece in 2026.

“I’m pleased to announce a new partnership between the Atlantic Council and the Antenna Group. Chaired by our international advisory board member—yes, we have an Antenna Group constituency here. Chaired by our international advisory board member and Antenna Group chairman Theodore Kyriakou.

This very week we will launch the inaugural Alliance for Europe-Gulf Geopolitics and Investment Summit, which the acronym from those letters is AEGGIS. So, it’s the regular spelling of AEGIS with an extra G.

“This ambitious undertaking aims to strengthen EU-Gulf strategic and economic relations. No such organization right now exists at a critical moment for both regions and their partners around the world. So, Theo, thank you so much,” Atlantic Council President and CEO Frederick Kempe stressed.

A breakfast reception to launch the ANTENNA Group – Atlantic Council partnership was attended by, among others, the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, David Lammy, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi, the Minister of State of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, along with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who spoke via teleconference to praise the leadership of Kyriakou, something also echoed at the event by the new US ambassador to Athens, Kimberly Guilfoyle.
