Dust, Muddy Rain and Higher Temps Post-Easter

A new round of Sahara dust plaguing Greece underway and will last until the middle of next week

North African dust brought by strong southerly winds will accompany the return of Easter holiday travelers on Monday, according to the forecasts by meteorologists over the weekend. Additionally, one forecast warned that temperatures will rise noticeably before cooler conditions return midweek.

A new round of Sahara dust plaguing Greece underway and will last until the middle of next week. The weather will remain relatively clear during the remaining days of the post-Easter Week, also known as Bright Week, while temperatures will reach up to 25°C in western areas.

Winds are expected to strengthen up to 9 Beaufort, potentially making travel difficult. From Tuesday to Thursday, muddy rain is forecast in several regions, while from Thursday onward, northerly winds will prevail, bringing cooler and more unstable weather.
