‘Our Stories’: A Photographic Call to See One Another with Greater Understanding

Contemporary life, alienation, urban solitude and the longing for connection lie at the heart of the 21 photographers’ works featured in “Our Stories,” opening at the heart of Athens from November 27 to December 7

Housed in a remarkable 1870 building — complete with a rare example of a 19th-century Athenian inner courtyard — TAF / The Art Foundation opens today the group photography exhibition Our Stories, a visual mosaic shaped by the moments and emotions that unite us.

Bringing together the work of twenty-one contemporary photographers, the exhibition invites visitors—from dedicated photography lovers to anyone drawn to the rawness of everyday life—to immerse themselves in a puzzle of images that capture stories both personal and collective, fleeting and profoundly true.

Contemporary lifestyles and the alienation they often produce; urban loneliness and the quiet yearning for closeness; the echoes of our own experiences reflected in the lives of others. Passers-by, strangers, and familiar silhouettes converge into a single narrative thread: a call to look at one another with deeper sensitivity and understanding. Here, images act as bridges—between selves, between worlds. The exhibition, curated by Sofia Dalamagka, becomes a celebration of human experience that dares to look beyond the surface.
