Athens is set to host a special edition of the PRIMER Music Festival on September 4 and 5, as the Greek electronic music festival joins forces with ZAMNA, the festival brand born in Tulum, Mexico, for a one-off collaboration.
The ZAMNA × PRIMER 2026 edition will take place at the Olympic Athletic Center of Athens (OAKA), bringing two stages and a lineup that spans festival EDM, house, melodic techno, Afro House, progressive trance and psytrance. PRIMER describes the collaboration as a meeting of two distinct festival cultures: ZAMNA’s immersive, jungle-inspired identity and PRIMER’s connection to Athens and ancient Greek aesthetics.
The festival will divide its program between the outdoor Helios Stage, which runs from 5 p.m. until the end of each day, and the indoor Lunar Stage, scheduled from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Two nights, two musical directions
Friday’s Helios Stage lineup includes Dutch EDM star Afrojack, American house pioneer Armand Van Helden and South African Afro House DJ Shimza, with Bees & Honey and Epsylon also appearing.
The Lunar Stage will shift toward melodic and progressive sounds, featuring Athens-based artist Hi Profile, Ukrainian DJ Miss Monique, Mrak, the solo project of Tale Of Us member Carmine Conte, and German melodic techno artist Stephan Bodzin in a live performance. Kalamo is also scheduled to appear.
Saturday’s Helios Stage will feature Swedish DJ and producer Axwell, German artist Innellea, Danish producer Kölsch and fellow Dane Morten, with Dali completing the lineup.
The Lunar Stage will feature Adam Ten, Miami-based duo Bedouin, Berlin-based Italian brothers Mind Against and Greek artist Omiki, alongside Da Mike and Filippos.
PRIMER’s Athens identity meets ZAMNA
Founded in Athens, PRIMER presents itself as one of Greece’s leading electronic music festivals and says it combines cinematic stage design and ancient Greek aesthetics with contemporary electronic music. Its visual identity includes the Caryatid, the sculpted female figures associated with ancient Greek architecture.
For 2026, the festival is bringing that identity together with ZAMNA in what it describes as the first collaboration between the two brands. The event is designed to connect ZAMNA’s immersive festival experience with PRIMER’s Athens setting and its emphasis on Greece’s ancient heritage.
Festivalgoers can attend either day or both days, with general admission offering access to the festival floor, viewing areas, food and beverage zones, and bars. VIP options include elevated viewing areas and dedicated facilities, while the most exclusive Booth VIP option places guests directly behind the DJ decks.
The event will operate on a fully cashless system, with festival wristbands used for purchases at bars, food outlets and merchandise stands.
With its two-stage format and international lineup, the 2026 edition marks a new chapter for PRIMER, pairing its Athens-based electronic music identity with one of the most distinctive festival brands to emerge from Tulum.
