You don’t have to travel far to experience the cutting edge of contemporary art—the galleries are coming to you. This September, Art Athina 2025, Greece’s largest annual visual arts gathering and one of Europe’s longest-running fairs, takes place from September 18 to 22 at the Zappeion Megaron.

At this year’s autumn edition, 72 galleries from Greece and abroad will present a diverse array of works—from painting and sculpture to photography and digital art—highlighting new directions and ideas that are shaping the global art landscape. Far beyond a traditional exhibition, Art Athina 2025 invites visitors to explore the evolving conversations that define contemporary art today.
Alongside the main exhibition, Art Athina 2025 offers a rich parallel program featuring Design, Projects, Performance, Editions, Art for Tomorrow Talks, and a Kids’ Educational Program. Each section invites visitors to explore contemporary creativity in new and immersive ways. For a full schedule and more details, please go here.

The 2024 winner, Panos Profitis, presents his solo exhibition La Bocca La Grotta at MOMus–Alex Mylonas Museum, open until November 30. The work evokes Platonic allegories and chthonic oracles, exploring archetypal binaries of light and darkness, life and death, comedy and tragedy. This year’s winner will be announced on Friday, September 19, at 18:00 during the fair.
