The discussion focused on economic developments in Greece and the wider region, including the possibilities of investments in the energy sector and LNG, as well as the construction of the vertical corridor and the necessary energy infrastructure.

Notably, Greece and Saudi Arabia have maintained long friendly relations having bolstered economic cooperation over the past years.

Earlier, Exarchou also spoke at the Davos Lodge, held in the context of WEF 2026. As he stressed, Europe has lost the power game and risks being pushed to the margins of global geopolitical and economic realignments unless it takes immediate decisions about its own identity and direction.
