Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday referred to his one-day working visit to Athens the next day, with a statement posted on his official X (formerly Twitter) account noting that “…we’re going to Greece tomorrow, then we’ll visit Hungary on Dec. 18. We are strengthening our cooperation with countries of the region, beginning with our neighbors.”

A further statement read: “Any progress made by our country in the diplomatic field in our bilateral relations brings us one step closer to ‘Turkey’s Century’.”

No less than three passenger jets will carry the Turkish delegation, replete with more than half the ministers in Erdogan’s Cabinet, transported official limousines and representatives of 15 media outlets in the neighboring countries.
