According to international media reports, dozens of Iranian drones are airborne headed to Israel on Saturday night.

Israel has been preparing for an attack by Iran after an Israeli airstrike destroyed the consular section of Iran’s embassy in Damascus Syria on April 1 killing 7 officers.

According to some media outlets, Iran has also launched cruise missiles against Israel.

An IDF spokesperson confirmed the drone attack on Saturday night.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a video message said that “in recent years, and even more so in recent weeks, Israel has been preparing for the possibility of a direct attack from Iran.

He warned Tehran that “whoever harms us, we will harm them. We will protect ourselves from any threat and we will do so with steadfastness and determination.”

“Our defense systems are deployed. We are prepared for any scenario, both in defense and attack,” Netanyahu said, as he stressed that the IDF, the state, and the public were strong.

Meanwhile, U.S President Joe Biden has cut short a weekend stay at his Delaware beach house and returning to the White House after the developments.
