Kimberly Gilfoyle, the new U.S. Ambassador to Greece, has shared her first impressions of the country in a video posted on social media, expressing gratitude for the warm welcome and outlining her priorities for her tenure.

Beginning her message with “Hello Greece,” Gilfoyle emphasizes the common values and connections between the United States and Greece. The nearly three-minute video features scenes from her first days in Athens as she reflects on her mission and approach to diplomacy.

“I will do what I have done throughout my professional and personal life: listen with respect, lead with integrity, and serve with purpose,” Gilfoyle said, stressing her commitment to fostering collaboration and mutual understanding.

The ambassador highlighted several areas of focus for U.S.-Greece relations, including expanding energy cooperation, strengthening regional security, deepening trade and investment ties, and opening new pathways for innovation.
