Beachgoer’s Clash With Pair of Nudists Leads to Trio’s Arrest

A quarrel turned violent this week at one of the most picturesque and remote beaches in the southern Pelion region, in central Greece, when one beachgoer took offence with two nudists at the site.

According to local media reports, angry exchanges soon turned into shoving and kicking, with the disturbance leading bystanders to call police to the scene. All three men were subsequently arrested.

Two men, reportedly from Athens, were charged with indecent exposure and disturbing the peace. The man who took offense to the “skinny dipping”, who was on vacation with his family from the north-central city of Yiannitsa, was charged with disturbing the peace.

The first pair also filed a lawsuit against the third, who in turn sued the former. As a result, all three spent the night in the local police precinct.

The incident reportedly took place at the Pagasetic Gulf’s Tzitzikas beach, which lies along a coastal road leading from the town of Milina to Trikeri, in verdant Magnesia prefecture.
