Αn explosion took place on Saturday evening outside an office building housing agriculture ministry-affiliated agencies in downtown Athens.
The blast was recorded at 22.50 (20.55) outside the building, along Syngrou Avenue, according to state broadcaster ERT.
Other reports, citing police sources, said the blast was caused by a makeshift explosive device comprised of small camping gas cannisters.
The attack has all the hallmarks of previous such incidents, usually claimed by self-styled anarchist and anti-state groupings that mostly strike in central Athens.
Only material damages to a glass front and main entrance were reported.
Forensic and bomb disposal units arrived at the scene almost immediately after the blast.
