Child Injured Outside School in Heraklion, Crete

A young boy was lightly injured after being struck by a car outside Talos School in Heraklion; authorities are investigating the incident.

A minor accident caused panic outside a school in Heraklion, Crete, on Tuesday when a car struck a young boy.

According to local reports, the child was walking to school with his mother near Talos School when a passing vehicle hit him with its side mirror, causing him to fall onto the road and hit his head. The boy was wearing his school backpack at the time.

Emergency services responded immediately. An EKAV ambulance transported the child to the University General Hospital of Heraklion, where doctors confirmed he suffered minor injuries and was not in life-threatening condition.

The Heraklion Traffic Police were called to the scene and are currently investigating the circumstances of the accident.
