Today, Thursday, January 15, 2026, marks the final day for eligible Greek families to submit applications for the 2025 Child Allowance (A21) through the government’s online platform.
The Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family, along with the supervising body, the Social Solidarity and Benefits Organization (OPEKA), has emphasized that no submissions or modifications will be accepted after the deadline. Families are urged to review their applications immediately and complete any necessary corrections before the platform closes.
The amount of the allowance depends on the number of dependent children listed in the A21 application for 2025, as well as the family’s income reported for the 2024 tax year. To qualify, children must be enrolled in compulsory education—from preschool through lower secondary school—and maintain satisfactory attendance.
Applicants must provide the following details for each child:
- School information
- Grade level
- Student registration number
If the information is verified, the application proceeds automatically. If discrepancies arise, supporting documents confirming enrollment must be attached. Temporary or incomplete submissions are not accepted and will be considered invalid.
For additional guidance, applicants can visit the official OPEKA website. Families are strongly advised to act promptly to ensure eligibility for the child allowance.
