The extreme weather system storm Erminio has brought gale-force winds, blowing up to 9-10 Beaufort in some regions of the eastern Aegean Sea, resulting in disruptions of coastal ferry routes.

Most departures from the port of Piraeus were suspended from the early morning hours.

Sailings to Crete are expected to proceed as scheduled after 9 p.m., subject to weather conditions. Services from the ports of Lavrio and Rafina operated only on morning schedules, while connections from Volos to the Sporades have been suspended, as has the Kavala–Prinos route. The Rio–Antirrio crossing remains closed due to gale-force winds.

Passengers planning to travel are urged to contact their local port authority or travel agency before departure for the latest updates on schedule changes or cancellations due to the extreme weather conditions.
