The coordinated operation involved multiple law enforcement agencies, cross-border cooperation with Albanian authorities and even support by the fire brigade. A forensic unit from Ioannina was also called to the scene.

The plantation was located in a very remote area, highlighting the scale and sophistication of the operation. While the plants have been seized and the investigation is ongoing, no arrests have been reported so far.

Authorities continue their inquiry into the network behind the plantation, emphasizing ongoing efforts to combat organized drug cultivation in Greece’s border regions.
