Greece Weather Thursday: Cooler Temperatures and Strong Winds

Thursday will bring mostly sunny weather across Greece, with some local showers possible in the east and south. Temperatures will drop, while strong northerly winds up to 7–8 Beaufort are expected in the Aegean

On Thursday, Greece will enjoy mainly fair weather, though clouds will build in eastern and southern regions, bringing the chance of local showers in Eastern Thessaly, the Sporades, Eastern Sterea, and parts of the Peloponnese.

Temperatures will be noticeably cooler compared to previous days. In Western Macedonia, values will range from 7–25°C, while the rest of Macedonia and Thrace will see 9–28°C. Thessaly will record 9–28°C, while Epirus will be slightly warmer at 7–30/32°C. Across the rest of mainland Greece, temperatures will range between 10–31°C. The Ionian Islands will see 17–30°C, and the Aegean Islands and Crete will reach 17–31°C.

Winds will be a key factor of the day. In the Aegean Sea, strong northerly winds will blow at 6–7 Beaufort, locally reaching 8 Beaufort, making sea conditions challenging. In the Ionian Sea, winds will also come from the north, reaching 4–5 Beaufort and locally 6 Beaufort.

In Athens, conditions will be partly cloudy, especially in the morning. Northeasterly winds will reach 4–5 Beaufort, and up to 6 Beaufort in eastern parts of the region. Temperatures will range from 22–27°C.

In Thessaloniki, the weather will remain clear and pleasant. Winds from the northwest will reach 3–4 Beaufort, and temperatures will range from 18–27°C.

Overall, Thursday will be cooler and breezy across Greece, with sunshine prevailing in most areas but local showers possible in the east and south. Strong northerly winds in the Aegean may affect ferry schedules and sea travel.
