EFET has demanded the immediate withdrawal of the entire batch, and ongoing inspections are currently underway. Consumers who have purchased this product are urged to avoid consumption.
Listeriosis, the infection caused by Listeria monocytogenes, is typically contracted through contaminated food. Symptoms can appear anywhere from a few days up to three months after exposure, with most cases emerging within one to two weeks. The infection can be serious, particularly for vulnerable populations.
