The Hellenic Food Authority (EFET) has recalled a batch of frozen beef patties after detecting salmonella, as they were deemed unfit for consumption. EFET has urged consumers who have purchased the product not to eat it.

The Hellenic Food Authority (EFET) said it sampled a product labeled “Frozen Burger” with batch code 31102025 and a “best before” date of Oct. 31, 2026. The item is produced by the company P. Kamaratou & SIA EE.

Testing confirmed the presence of Salmonella spp. in the product.

EFET ordered the immediate withdrawal and recall of the entire batch, and inspections are ongoing. The authority is also calling on consumers who may have purchased the product to refrain from consuming it.
