Kikilias Visits Rhodes to Discuss Island Infrastructure

The shipping minister visited the Rhodes Port Authority and is scheduled to meet regional and local officials to discuss island policy, port infrastructure and the needs of the South Aegean islands

Greek Shipping and Island Policy Minister Vassilis Kikilias is visiting Rhodes on Thursday, Aug. 27, for meetings focused on port infrastructure, island policy and the needs of the South Aegean islands.

Shortly before 10 a.m., Kikilias visited the Central Port Authority of Rhodes, where he met with officials and was briefed on issues concerning the operation of the Hellenic Coast Guard in the area.

During his visit, Kikilias is also expected to meet South Aegean Regional Governor George Hatzimarkos, members of Parliament, Rhodes Mayor Kolliadis and representatives of local authorities.

The meetings will focus on island policy, port infrastructure and the needs of the islands in the South Aegean, according to the information provided.
