A disturbing video circulating on social media has sparked public outrage in Greece after it captured a young man forcefully pushing a homeless man into a fountain in the Old Town of Rhodes. The incident, recorded on a mobile phone, has triggered condemnation both for the attacker’s actions and the bystanders’ inaction.
In the footage, the youth is seen running toward the man before suddenly shoving him into the water. He then runs off laughing, while no one in the vicinity appears to offer help or step in to stop him.
The video has been widely shared online, prompting strong reactions from users who called the act “inhumane” and “disgraceful.” Many criticized not only the assailant but also the lack of assistance from witnesses at the scene.
As of now, it remains unclear whether local authorities have launched an investigation or taken any formal action.
