Greek police dismantled a large drug trafficking ring, following a major operation in the areas of Attica and Arcadia. Specifically, authorities took down a criminal organization whose members maintained a fully equipped cannabis plantation and distributed significant quantities of raw cannabis.
In total, police seized 1 ton, 161 kilos, and 161 grams of raw cannabis and 1,640 cannabis plants, with the estimated illegal proceeds from the organization’s activities calculated at no less than €8 million.

The Directorate for Combating Organized Crime dismantled a criminal organization whose members were engaged in cultivating cannabis plants using a fully equipped plantation, as well as distributing large quantities of raw cannabis across various parts of Attica and Arcadia.
Five foreign nationals, all members of the group — including its leaders — aged 73, 39, 36, 35, and 34, were arrested during an operation carried out on Thursday, September 25, 2025. The operation was conducted in cooperation with the Tripoli Crimes Investigation and Prosecution Department, with support from officers of the Intelligence and Special Operations Sub-Directorate of the D.A.O.E., the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit (E.K.A.M.), and a narcotics detection dog.
Charges were filed against them for violations of drug and weapons laws, as well as for trafficking counterfeit currency and other means of payment. In addition, during the investigation, a 50-year-old foreign national was arrested for illegal possession of a knife and unlawful residence in Greece.
