Greece will experience mostly cloudy skies with widespread rain and scattered thunderstorms on Tuesday, especially over southern parts of the country. The heaviest weather is expected in the Peloponnese, eastern mainland Greece, Evia, the central and southern Aegean islands, and Crete. Light and short-lived showers may occur elsewhere. Dust concentrations will be elevated over the southern and western regions.
Temperatures will remain slightly below seasonal averages in many areas. Western Macedonia will range between 6°C and 17°C, the rest of Macedonia and Thrace from 7°C to 20°C, Thessaly from 13°C to 20°C, and Epirus from 10°C to 21°C. In Central Greece and the Peloponnese, temperatures will vary between 13°C and 22°C, while the Ionian Islands will see 13°C to 21°C. Across the Aegean, temperatures will range from 13°C to 21°C in the north and east, 17°C to 26°C in the Cyclades, 17°C to 25°C in the Dodecanese, and up to 28°C in Crete.
Winds in the Aegean will blow mainly from the northeast at 2–4 Beaufort, except in the Dodecanese where they will shift southerly. In the Ionian, light variable winds up to 3 Beaufort will gradually turn southerly later in the day at 2–4 Beaufort.
In Athens, cloudy skies and morning rain are expected, with only a small chance of brief, light showers later. Winds will shift from northerly to southerly directions by the afternoon, up to 3 Beaufort. Temperatures will range between 16°C and 21°C.
In Thessaloniki, clouds will dominate with a low chance of isolated, brief showers. Winds will blow from the east to south up to 3 Beaufort, and temperatures will vary from 15°C to 18°C.
