Rhodes Father Reportedly Sexually Abused Daughter for 15 Years

The woman, whose identity remains concealed, gave her statement in the presence of a psychologist and an expert.

The community of Rhodes is in shock, as the case of a 55-year-old father reportedly sexually abusing his daughter for 15 years has come to light, prompting the intervention of the local prosecutor’s office.

Following an investigation, social welfare determined there were serious signs of sexual abuse and immediately reported the incident to the competent misdemeanor prosecutor, who, in turn, ordered a preliminary inquiry.

The Rhodes Sub-directorate for the Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes is handling the case involving charges of repeated rape, incest, sexual abuse of a minor by a relative, and domestic violence.

The reported victim, 31, has testified that her father began raping her at age 16, with the abuse continuing systematically for years, according to court documents obtained by dimokrati.gr.

The woman, whose identity remains concealed, gave her statement in the presence of a psychologist and an expert, detailing how the assaults took place in the family home and only ceased four years ago when she became pregnant with her second child.

In a shocking revelation, the woman disclosed that one of her children may be the result of the incestuous relationship with her father. DNA testing ordered by the prosecutor’s office to investigate charges of repeated incest confirmed a high probability that the 55-year-old suspect is the biological father of his 3-year-old granddaughter, making him both father and grandfather.

“He raped me for years; I felt there was no escape,” the woman said during her examination, recounting the terror and psychological control her father exerted.

She described being physically and emotionally dominated in an environment of complete isolation, with no protective system in place.

When questioned, the suspect denied the rape allegations but admitted to a sexual relationship with his daughter for approximately one month, claiming it was consensual and that they stopped when they realized it was wrong.

Following the victim’s testimony and the DNA findings, authorities have filed charges, and the investigation continues.
