Serbian Mafia Group Leader Arrested in Crete

The 38-year-old Serbian arrested in Crete is reportedly a leading member of a criminal group that carried out contract killings

A 38-year-old Serbian national wanted under an INTERPOL Serbia Red Notice was arrested by officers from Crete’s Organized Crime Unit. He was also subject to an arrest warrant issued by Belgrade police in connection with forgery cases.

According to information from Serbian police, the man is reportedly a leading member of the Kavac-Vracar criminal organization in Serbia, a group that carried out contract killings targeting members of a rival criminal gang. At the time of his arrest, officers found forged travel documents in his possession.

Authorities are now investigating the contacts he had during his stay in Greece, as well as whether he had any involvement with local criminal groups.
