Showers Across Greece Monday with Storms in the South

Cloudy skies and local showers are expected across Greece on Monday, with thunderstorms developing in southern islands and the South Ionian. Conditions ease by nighttime, while north winds strengthen over the Aegean.

Greece will experience widespread cloud cover with local showers across the mainland om Monday, especially in eastern regions, Evia, and the Sporades. Thunderstorms are expected in the South Ionian, Crete, the Cyclades, and the Dodecanese. Most areas will see improving conditions by the evening as rainfall gradually tapers off.

Temperatures will remain mild for early December. Western Macedonia will range from 3°C to 9°C; the rest of Macedonia and Thrace from 6°C to 14°C; Epirus, 4–16°C; Thessaly, 6–15°C; Central Greece, 7–17°C; and the Peloponnese, 9–18°C. The Ionian Islands will reach 9–16°C, the Aegean 9–18°C (up to 16°C in the north), and Crete and the Dodecanese will see 11–19°C.

North winds will blow at 3–5 Beaufort, strengthening to 6 Beaufort in parts of the Central and Southern Aegean.

Athens:
Attica will have cloudy skies with local showers. North winds will reach 3–4 Beaufort, increasing to 5 Beaufort in eastern areas. Temperatures will range from 9°C to 17°C.

Thessaloniki:
Thessaloniki will see increased cloud cover with rain over the surrounding mountains. North winds will reach 3–5 Beaufort. Temperatures will range from 6°C to 14°C.
