On Friday, October 3, 2025, Greece will experience unsettled weather with widespread rain and thunderstorms, locally strong in the morning across Central and Eastern Macedonia, Thrace, the Aegean, and Crete. The Ionian and western mainland will also see showers and possible storms. From morning onwards, conditions in northern and eastern regions will gradually ease, but by midday, showers and storms will redevelop across much of the mainland and islands, though they are not expected to be severe. Light snowfall may occur in the mountains of Western and Central Macedonia.
Temperatures will remain low for the season, ranging from 2–10°C in Western Macedonia, 8–18°C in the rest of Macedonia, 9–20°C in Thrace, 8–18°C in Thessaly, 8–16°C in Epirus, 10–21°C in Central Greece and the Peloponnese, 12–16°C in the Ionian Islands, 15–21°C in the northern and eastern Aegean, 16–23°C in the Cyclades, 19–23°C in the Dodecanese, and 17–24°C in Crete. The day’s lowest temperatures will occur late at night.
Winds in the Aegean will blow from the south to west at 4–6 Beaufort, locally reaching 7 Beaufort, except in the Thermaic Gulf and the Sporades where they will shift to westerlies and northerlies at 4–6 Beaufort. In the Ionian, northwesterly winds will strengthen to 5–7 Beaufort.
In Athens, clouds with occasional local showers are expected. Winds will blow from the southwest to west at 3–5 Beaufort, with temperatures between 15–21°C, the lowest values arriving late in the day.
In Thessaloniki, rain and possible thunderstorms are forecast, with a chance of strong storms in the morning. Winds will blow from the north at 3–5 Beaufort. Temperatures will remain cool, between 8–11°C, with the minimum expected late in the evening.
