On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, Greece will experience a day of unsettled and windy weather, with rain and thunderstorms across many regions. Locally severe storms are expected in the eastern Aegean islands and the Dodecanese, easing slightly around midday before intensifying again in the evening. Rain and isolated thunderstorms will also affect Thrace, the northern Aegean, the Ionian Islands, western Central Greece, the Peloponnese, the eastern mainland, the Sporades, Evia, the Cyclades, and Crete. In Crete and, briefly, in the Sporades, rainfall may become locally heavy. Light snow is possible in mountainous areas of central and northern Greece.
Temperatures will remain low for the season, ranging from 5–14°C in Western Macedonia, 8–19°C in the rest of Macedonia and Thrace, 8–21°C in Thessaly, 8–19°C in Epirus, 11–22°C in other mainland areas, 13–19°C in the Ionian Islands, 15–21°C in most Aegean islands, and 15–24°C in Crete and the Dodecanese.
Strong northwesterly winds will dominate the Ionian Sea, reaching 6–7 Beaufort with gusts exceeding 70 km/h. In the Aegean, northwesterly winds will blow at 5–6 Beaufort, while in the southern Aegean, westerly winds will locally reach 7 Beaufort, with gusts above 70 km/h.
In Athens, rain is expected at times, mainly after midday, with a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms in the eastern suburbs. Winds will blow from the north at 4–5 Beaufort, occasionally reaching 6 Beaufort along the coast. Temperatures will range between 15 and 21°C.
In Thessaloniki, skies will be mostly cloudy with occasional showers. Northwesterly winds will reach 4–5 Beaufort, temporarily strengthening to 6 Beaufort. Temperatures will range from 13 to 19°C.
