A 15-year-old boy in Volvi, near Thessaloniki, recounts a violent abduction by two masked assailants, who demanded €10,000 and left him beaten before fleeing

A 15-year-old boy experienced a terrifying ordeal in the Volvi area, near Thessaloniki. According to his report, he was kidnapped, beaten, and robbed while on his way to school on Monday morning, September 22.

The teen said two masked individuals forcibly placed him in the back of a white van and drove him to the Agios Spyridon area of Asprovalta, where they assaulted him and stole the €50 he had on him.

Extortion Threats

The assailants then threatened the boy, demanding €10,000 to be paid within two weeks, warning that his life would be in danger if he failed to comply.

Before releasing him, they threw away his jacket and mobile phone. The teen immediately went to the Volvi Police Department to report the attack.

Arrest and Investigation

Police have arrested one of the alleged kidnappers, a 17-year-old vocational school student. Authorities say the suspect had previously attempted to extort €500 from the victim. Investigations to locate the second perpetrator are ongoing, and a forensic examination has been ordered to assess the injuries sustained by the boy.
