Trump Warns Putin: ‘My Patience is Running Out Fast’

In a Fox News interview, the U.S. president said he is frustrated with the lack of progress on ending the Ukraine war and hinted at tougher measures, while urging Europe to shoulder more responsibility

U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that his patience with Russian leader Vladimir Putin is “running out fast,” expressing frustration over stalled efforts to end the war in Ukraine.

Speaking in an interview with Fox News, Trump admitted he has so far failed to bring the conflict to an end, adding: “We will have to take very, very tough measures.”

He noted that sanctions targeting banks and oil, as well as tariffs, remain possible options, but stressed that European countries must also take part in applying pressure.

“I’ve done a lot,” Trump said, pointing to tariffs he imposed on India, which he described as a difficult but necessary step.

Turning his attention to Europe, the president underscored that the war is primarily a European problem: “Remember this—it’s Europe’s problem far more than it is ours.”
