Two Suspects in Teen Stabbing Case Taken Into Custody

Police detained two young men accused of luring and stabbing a 14-year-old boy in a coordinated attack arranged through messages from a woman presented as a 20-year-old.

Greek police have taken into custody two young men accused of assaulting and stabbing a 14-year-old boy in the Athens suburb of Cholargos, following a premeditated ambush arranged through messages from a woman posing as a 20-year-old. One suspect turned himself in, while officers arrested the second shortly afterward.

Authorities say the attack occurred after the teenager agreed to meet the woman, who had contacted him online and persuaded him to come to a specific location near a school. When he arrived, the two suspects immediately attacked him, beating him with kicks and punches before stabbing him.

According to police, the interaction between the woman and the victim shows how the suspects orchestrated the trap. The woman insisted they meet alone and urged the 14-year-old to travel to the area, repeatedly pressing him to “start coming” while claiming she was on her way by taxi.

Investigators are now examining the role of the woman, who served as bait in the setup, and whether she was directly involved in the assault or acted on behalf of the two suspects.

The teen victim survived the attack, and police continue to investigate the full circumstances of the ambush. Authorities are expected to bring formal charges as the case moves forward.
