The United States Embassy in Greece has expressed its deep condolences following the deadly fire at the Violanta factory in the central Greek city of Trikala, which claimed the lives of workers and left others injured.
In a message published on the official social media account of the US Embassy in Athens and shared by Kimberly Guilfoyle, the embassy conveyed sympathy to the families and loved ones of the victims.
“We extend our most sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims of today’s tragic factory fire in Trikala. Our thoughts are also with the injured. We recognize the difficult work of the first responders and stand with Greece during these challenging times,” the statement said.
