Video Shows Moments Before Victim Was Abducted

An autopsy has revealed that a 27-year-old local man, whose body was discovered on Sunday, was alive for at least six days after he was abducted below his Elefsina apartment last week.

Video footage showing the victim prior to this abduction and what appears to be the assailants lurking in the area was aired on Mega Channel on Tuesday afternoon.

The cause of death, among others, was a coup de grâce gunshot wound to the head. A total of 10 gunshot wounds were detected on the victim’s body.

A coroner’s report said the victim was killed on Sunday, hours before his body was found in a seasonal stream west of the Athens-Piraeus area, and specifically in the Nea Peramos coastal district of west Attica prefecture. The latter is only a few kilometers west of where the victim lived.

Police on Monday said the victim did not have a criminal record and was not under any indictment.

A wide-ranging investigation continues.
