A Greek team with Giannis Antetokounmpo making another strong performance thumped Georgia, 94-53, on Sunday afternoon in Limassol, Cyprus, with the national team “almost” assured of qualification for Group C of the ongoing Eurobasket 2025 – and with the unofficial title of “favorite”.
Despite posting three wins in successive games, Greece must wait until the day’s other games to see if it has already “punched a ticket” for round of 16, and ahead of a fourth game against Bosnia on Tuesday.
The trip to Riga for the next round will be guaranteed if host Cyprus beats Spain – which is unlikely – or if Italy downs Bosnia.
