Widespread Showers Wednesday as Southeast Winds Strengthen

Rain will spread across western and southern Greece on Wednesday, with showers also affecting central and eastern regions and isolated thunderstorms in the Ionian. Temperatures rise slightly, while southeast winds strengthen later in the day.

On Wednesday, December 2, Greece will experience an unsettled weather pattern with local showers developing in the west, the eastern mainland (excluding Thrace), Evia, and from midday onward in Crete. Rain will intensify gradually across western and southern regions, while the Ionian may see isolated thunderstorms.

Temperatures will climb slightly compared to previous days. Western Macedonia will range from 2°C to 11°C. The rest of Macedonia and Thrace will see 3–13°C; Epirus, 7–17°C; Thessaly, 4–15°C; Central Greece, 4–17°C; and the Peloponnese, 5–18°C. The Ionian Islands will experience 14–17°C, the Aegean 6–17°C (a bit cooler in the north), Rhodes 8–19°C, and Crete 11–19°C, locally reaching 20°C.

Southeast winds will blow at 3–4 Beaufort across most regions, reaching 5 Beaufort in the Ionian and strengthening locally to 6 Beaufort from the afternoon.

Athens:
Attica will see cloudy skies with periods of light rain. Southeast winds will blow at 2–3 Beaufort. Temperatures will range from 11°C to 16°C.

Thessaloniki:
Thessaloniki will experience increased cloud cover with rain. Northwest winds will blow at 2–3 Beaufort. Temperatures will range between 9°C and 13°C.
