92 Greek Citizens With Pets Now Stranded in Gulf

The specific group is trying to find airlines that allow pets in the cabins in order to leave Dubai, Abu Dhabi

Reports on Tuesday have 92 Greek citizens still stranded in Dubai and Abu Dhabi because they are seeking ways to leave the Gulf with their pets.

As expected, the main obstacle for their repatriation to Greece is the lack of repatriation flights that allow animals on board.

The stranded Greeks citizens are now apparently coordinating efforts through a group formed on a chat app in order to secure travel documents and explore the possibility of arranging a special return flight.

Previously, some Greeks citizens were forced to leave their pets behind at the border due to the rushed departure from the area, which has found itself amid a conflict zone after the US-Israeli attacks on Iran and the theocratic regime’s subsequent retaliation. Strikes against Gulf states have been undertaken by Tehran’s military.

According to comments on the chat app, the specific group is asking for the opportunity to return to Greece with their pets, even if they have to cover the travel costs themselves.

Similar problems have been faced by other expatriates streaming out of the Gulf.
