A Greek Cypriot man lost his life and two other people are being treated at Famagusta General Hospital, after two boats ran aground on rocks in the sea area of Agioi Anargyroi at Cape Greco, due to strong storm swells.

A total of six people were pulled to safety during the search and rescue operation coordinated by the Search and Rescue Coordination Centre (SRCC).
