France Sends 60 Tons of Humanitarian Aid to Lebanon

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot announced France will deliver 60 metric tons of aid, including medical supplies, hygiene kits, and mattresses, to support Lebanese civilians amid ongoing crises

France will provide 60 metric tons of humanitarian aid to Lebanon, the French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot announced on Wednesday. The shipment, aimed at assisting civilians, will include sanitation and hygiene kits, mattresses, lamps, and a mobile medical post.

Speaking in an interview with French radio TF1, Barrot said, “We have decided to triple the volume of aid that will arrive this week. This aid will reach 60 tons of humanitarian aid for the Lebanese, including sanitation kits, hygiene kits, mattresses, lamps, and also a mobile medical post.”

The delivery reflects France’s commitment to supporting Lebanon during ongoing humanitarian challenges. Officials emphasized that the aid is intended to provide immediate relief to vulnerable populations, particularly in areas affected by shortages of essential services and medical care.

France’s initiative follows broader international efforts to address urgent needs in Lebanon, including health, sanitation, and shelter support.
