Greek Foreign Minister George Geropetritis travels to New York City on Tuesday for a busy four-day itinerary of meetings in the US metropolis, including with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
On Wednesday he will meet in the morning with Vanessa Frazier, the special representative of the Secretary-General for children and armed conflict.
Later in the day, the Greek foreign minister is expected to attend and take part in a Security Council open discussion on the Middle East, as Greece is a member of the UNSC for the 2025-2026 period. The meeting with Guterres will take place on the sidelines of the specific discussion.
On Thursday, Gerapetritis will participate in a round-table discussion on the issue of “From the High Seas to the Consumer: Securing Maritime Trade and the Global Economy”.
He is also due to meet with representatives of Greek-American communities and organizations.
