Greece’s Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis will meet Libyan military leader Khalifa Belqasim Haftar in Benghazi and attend the opening of Greece’s new consulate before traveling to Tripoli for further official talks

Greece’s Foreign Minister, George Gerapetritis, is set to travel to Libya on Saturday, March 28, for a series of high-level meetings. His visit will begin in Benghazi, where he is scheduled to meet with Khalifa Belqasim Haftar, the head of the Libyan National Army.

In addition to his diplomatic discussions, Minister Gerapetritis will attend the inauguration of the new building for the Greek General Consulate in Benghazi, marking an important step in Greece’s diplomatic presence in the region.

Following his engagements in Benghazi, the Foreign Minister will continue his visit in Tripoli on Wednesday, April 1, for meetings with Libyan officials, aiming to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.
