Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is open to the prospect of briefing any political party leader over the ongoing development in the Middle East in the wake of military strikes against Iran by Israel and the United States and the former’s retaliation across the wider region, government sources said on Monday afternoon.
The same sources said that Mitsotakis will meet and brief and political party leader that seeks such as consultation.
The first such meeting, in fact, is scheduled on Tuesday at noon, with Mitsotakis receiving main opposition PASOK party leader Nikos Androulakis at the former’s office in Parliament.

The Greek prime minister is scheduled to address Parliament on Wednesday during debate on draft legislation foreseeing postal voting by Greek citizens living abroad. However, he is expected to exploit the occasion to refer to the ongoing Middle East developments.
Members of a relevant Parliament committee on defense and foreign affairs are already being regularly briefed by Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis.
Finally, Gerapetritis will convene a national council on foreign policy on Wednesday afternoon.
